English for me is....

          Languages can be summed up quite easily, for example French and Italian stand for beautiful , German is stand for strong and powerful and Dutch is stand for strong. However i have never heard of what people think about my language which is English. Is it beautiful? does the spelling and sound of the language appeal to you or the expressions and idioms? A friend of mine once said to me it sounds like Dutch. i had be very interested in what people think of that.
          English for me is very important. Nowadays, there are many people who want to learn English. Do you know the reason why English is widespread all over the world? English is taught and learned at every school: primary, secondary, high schools, colleges and universities. So if you want to have a good studying result, you will need to get high marks in English. Not only that, English is a very important and international language to me and all people around the world because it help people to communicate with each other. It also helps everybody understand each other better and brings the whole wide world closer. Other than that, there are many great and interesting books which are written in English, so we need to learn English in order to get new information and knowledge about art, science, technology, music, education and cars. English is a living and working condition, we cannot live in other countries such as German and Australia. We need English for our jobs in the future.
          We all know that the language of English is also known as the first language of the countries of Australia, Canada and commonwealth Caribbean, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom as well as the United States of America. Now English language used as the second language used as the second language worldwide commonly considered as the universal language. Especially from the commonwealth countries like India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and South Africa as well as the other international organizations. The modern English is quite described as global lingual France, and it is the major communication tool for science events, business, aviation, entertainment and diplomacy. 
          The British empire is the main reason that influences the fast pace spread of English language has been considered as the universal language, a number of people nowadays had been rushed to some English schools, English Language Institute or English Language centers to learn the international language which is English. Most of the people who go to learn english is who did not have the chance to learn english when they are kid or their school where english subject are not included. Even some of the elite personalities chose to learn an english language because some of them planning to venture businesses in other countries, and the english language could be their gear as well as tool when doing abroad for business purposes. Without universal language which is english, people until now would find life being empty and less fortunate. Every countries will never experience being progressive and luxurious because without the presence of english dialect things is impossible to happen. So i always consider english language is very importance in our daily life.
           Finally, if you are studying english at school, colleges or universities remember that getting an excellent grade in english is almost worthless, in terms of communication, if you cannot speak the language. Spoken english is used in the best career, the best universities, and is increasingly being used at job interview. So like it or not, english for every people is very important language to learn to speak or write.

Self Introduction

Hi, my name is Kimberly chow yuen kim, you can call me kim too. I am from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I am in my first semester of foundation in actuarial science at UCSI University. Now I am going to tell you a little bit about myself. I am a Malaysian and I was born on October 2 1995. I went to SJK (C) Jalan Davidson for primary school and for my secondary school I went to SMK (P) Pudu girls school. My everyday activities included going to school, jogging and watching television. I love to go jogging on every morning. I like playing chess and tennis. I always enjoyed reading, writing and doing mathematics and biology. I have achieved many different goals in my life, some of my achievements are bigger than the others, which has given me a greater satisfaction.  The top 3 achievement that gave me the greatest personal satisfaction included being the student of the year in my primary school, going to college, and getting my driver's license. Other than that, my favourite colour is silver. My favourite story book is Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. My favourite movie is the vow, starring Rachel McAdam, Channing Tatum and other actor. My favourite singer is Alicia Keys. My favourite actor is George Clooney and my favourite actress is Jennifer Lawrence.  My favourite TV series are 90210, How I met your mother and Modern family. When I was free I always love to go shopping with my friends.Beside that, I always love fashion and I love to read fashion magazine. My favourite fashion icon was coco Chanel because she has a very unique and elegant style. When I go travel, I always love to collect a postcard of the place I went. When I was young I have a dream, i dream to travel around the world.Not only that my favourite food is spaghetti and ice cream. Lastly my favourite quotes is you can't change your pass but you can let it go and start a new life.

          Each celebrity or athlete tends to create their own style in both of their career and life to become unique and then try to impress the audience. Whenever we read the newspapers or magazines, George Clooney and David Beckham are two people that we almost saw everyday. So, today i am going to compare this two famous people in the following essay. I decide to compare George Clooney and David Beckham , because i am a huge fan for both of them.
          I admire George Clooney's attitude on filming movie and David Beckham's hardworking to become a successful football player. Both Clooney and Beckham are very famous people in the world, yet at the same time very different. But how much exactly did they differ from each other?
          First of all, George Timothy Clooney which is also known as George Clooney was an American actor, a film director, a producer and a screenwriter, which is the most obvious difference of all. He was born in Lexington,Kentucky,United states on May 6,1961. On the other hand, David Robert Joseph Beckham which is also know as David Beckham is an English footballer which is born in Leytonstone ,London on May 2,1975.
          Secondly, their goals in life were also different, while George Clooney become a very successful actor and producer. He has received three Golden Globe Award for his work as an actor and two Academy Awards for his acting and producing career. Clooney is also noted for his political activism, and has served as one of the United Nations Messengers of Peace since January 31,2008. David Beckham on the other hand, become a very successful football midfielder. He has played for Manchester United, Preston North End, Real Madrid,Milan, Los Angeles Galaxy, French Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain, and the England national team for which he holds the appearance record for an outfield player. He is also the first English player to win league titles in four countries. Not only that, Beckham has twice been runner up for FIFA World Player of the Year and in 2004, he was the world's highest paid footballer.
          As for their families and personal life Clooney was married once to actress Talia Balsam from 1989 until they divorced in 1993. He said that he will never wanted to get marry anymore. After the divorced, Clooney has dated a British model, Lisa snowdon, a reality personality, Sarah Larson and an Italian actress,Elizabetta Canalis. Since July 2011, Clooney has been dating a former WWE Diva,Stacy Keibler and he has no children. As for David Beckham, he started dating Victoria Adams on 1997 and then they get married at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland on July 4,1999. David and Victoria Beckham have three son and a daughter names Brooklyn Joseph who was born March 4th, 1999,Romeo James who was born on September 1st, 2002 and Cruz David who was born on February 20th, 2005 and Harper Seven who was born July 10th, 2011.
          As for their hobby, George Clooney love to play baseball. He wanted to become a baseball player more than an actor or a producer. He is often spotted wearing the full baseball accessories and spending time with fellow players. Apart from being a baseball enthusiast Clooney also love to spend time for playing basketball. He plays this game at least twice a week for one hour which to keep him look fit. For David Beckham, he love to listening music. His favourites singer as stated on his Facebook page include Jay-Z, Jonas Brother, U2, Eminem, Justin Bieber and Bob Marley. Not only that, Beckham also been known for experimenting innovative styles of body art. He has at least 20 tattoos adorning his body and each tattoo has it own meaning and story.
          As a conclusion, George Clooney and David Beckham are a really good role model for today's youth. It is because they both always believe with what they do and never give up easily with their dream, they will do whatever they can to makes their dreams come true. Beside that, they always help people by doing charity works and donating money. For example, George Clooney's support for charities including UNICEF, ONE Campaign ,and Make Poverty History and David Beckham support for charities including UNICEF , Comic Relief and Red Cross.
